Living Benefits
What’s important to me is protecting myself and children against the financial challenges if any of us should get a critical illness. Also, providing financial protection for my parents if I have to become a caregiver to them.

Living Benefits are life insurance benefits paid to you while you are still living, rather than paid to a
beneficiary or survivor when you die.
Living Benefits Include:
- Health & Medical Insurance (i.e. dental, prescriptions, etc)
- Disability Insurance
- Critical Illness Insurance
- Long-Term Care Insurance
You might think this only happens to other people, however, a critical illness can strike anyone at any time. The right insurance coverage would alleviate the emotional and financial stress that a critical illness, such as cancer or stroke, would cause.
Critical Illness Insurance
With critical illness insurance, if you are diagnosed with one of the critical illnesses covered by your policy, you will receive a lump sum payment (between $25,000 and $2,000,000). This amount, which you can use any way you choose:
It can help pay any debts you may have for childcare or homecare, for medication or treatment in another country, or to fund a buy-sell agreement for a business.
Of course, your family and financial situation are unique. I can offer you the adult or child coverage that will best suit your needs.

Long-Term Care Insurance
Long-term care insurance guarantees the payment of a monthly benefit:
- If the insured becomes unable to perform 2 of the following 6 activities of daily living without the help of another person: bathing, dressing, toileting, transferring, continence, eating
or
- If the insured is suffering from a cognitive impairment endangering his health or safety (for example, Alzheimer’s disease and other types of permanent senile dementia).
